International Chemicals & Metals (ICM) is the brainchild of Mr. Bharat Mehta. Today, the company based out of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, is well-equipped to introduce a bespoke multiplicity of Liquid Water Soluble Soldering Flux-103, Protecot Protective Coating, Soldering Fluxes, Flux Pastes and various related diverse products for Electronics, Automotive and Engineering industries.

The company was started way back in 1985 and bringing the company to the present eminence is the rare resilience and expertise of Mr. Bharat Mehta who after completing his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, from one of the most reputed Universities M. S. University-Baroda, in 1965 went to the USA to further his studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. After completing his M.S. in Industrial Engineering in the year 1967 he joined as an Industrial Engineer in Ohmite Mfg. Co., a business arm of North American Philips Co. This was the time when ha also attained an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago alongside gaining in-depth experience in manufacturing processes, methods and production management.

With his aim to explore avenues in the Indian manufacturing sector, he joined as a Research Associate for IIM, Ahmedabad in 1970, where he analysed multifarious industrial fields with special focus on Electronics, Chemicals, Plastics and Machine Tools. Mr. Mehta got good inputs in the manufacturing practices of USA when in 1973 he allied with Admiral Corporation, Hardvard, Illinois, that operated as a subsidiary of Rockwell International, USA, and set up & managed a printed circuit production unit , automatic components insertion systems & assembly lines. Thereafter in the year 1967, he joined with Blair Mfg. Co. in Evanston, Illinois as a Director (Systems, Operations & Quality Assurance), making commendable strides by introducing new product lines and increasing sales. The company offered  him  technical partnership and he was promoted to a Vice President of the firm. Blair Mfg. Co. continued expanding business and securing eminent clients like Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Zenith, Motorola, RCA, Ford, etc. After international business experience and exposure, Mr. Bharat Mehta then formed International Chemicals & Metals in Ahmedabad, India in 1985.
